John Joseph Travolta est un acteur, danseur et chanteur américain. Il s'est fait connaître pour la première fois dans les années 1970, après avoir joué dans la série télévisée Welcome Back, Kotter et dans les succès au box-office Saturday Night Fever and Grease. La carrière de Travolta a refait surface dans les années 1990, avec son rôle dans Pulp Fiction, et il a depuis continué à jouer dans des films hollywoodiens, y compris Face/Off, Ladder 49 et Wild Hogs. Sa famille était catholique romaine. Travolta a épousé l'actrice Kelly Preston en 1991. Le couple a eu un fils, Jett (13 avril 1992 - 2 janvier 2009), et une fille, Ella Bleu, née en 2000. Le 18 mai 2010, Travolta et Preston ont annoncé qu'elle est enceinte du troisième enfant du couple. Le couple a régulièrement assisté à des consultations matrimoniales, et Travolta admet que la thérapie a aidé le mariage. Travolta a été impliqué avec l'actrice Diana Hyland, qu'il a rencontrée alors qu'il filmait The Boy in the Plastic Bubble ; la relation a pris fin quand elle est morte d'un cancer du sein en 1977. Travolta est un pilote certifié et possède cinq avions, dont un ex-Australien Boeing 707-138. L'avion porte le nom de Jett Clipper Ella en l'honneur de ses enfants. Sa propriété de 4,9 millions de dollars dans la subdivision Jumbolair à Ocala, en Floride, est située sur l'aéroport Greystone avec sa propre piste et sa propre voie de circulation jusqu'à sa porte d'entrée.
