The Poison Rose (2019)
Carson Phillips, ancien quarterback devenu détective privé à Los Angeles, se rend à Galveston au Texas sur la demande d’une cliente sans nouvelles de sa tante. Il accepte à contrecoeur car aller à Galveston c’est pour lui un pèlerinage douloureux. C’est là qu’il y a vingt ans, il a abandonné la femme qu’il aimait ainsi que sa carrière de footballeur. Carson va alors percer un à un tous les secrets cette ville sur fond de corruption, de trafic de drogue et de matchs truqués.
