Les Géants du cirque (1954)
Interné dans un hôpital psychiatrique, Dublin O'Malley, un ancien artiste de cirque, parvient à s'échapper de l'établissement après avoir tué un des gardiens. Il prend aussitôt la direction du cirque de Clyde Beatty, où il travaillait auparavant. O'Malley a l'intention de se venger du directeur et de Valerie St Dennis, une trapéziste dont il est amoureux mais qui l'a repoussé. Il fait chanter le clown Twitchy, le forçant à commettre des actes de sabotage. Beatty fait alors appel au romancier Mickey Spillane pour enquêter sur cette série d'accidents…
