Demande à la poussière (2006)
Los Angeles a toujours été la ville de tous les rêves. Même dans les années trente, alors que les Etats-Unis sombraient dans la grande Dépression, chacun s'y pressait, venu de tous les horizons, en espérant y saisir une chance de bonheur ou la fortune. Alors que le pays basculait dans la misère, la ville paraissait plus dorée que jamais...Pour la très belle Camilla Lopez, le seul moyen d'échapper à sa condition est d'épouser un riche américain ; mais sa rencontre avec Arturo Bandini, fils d'immigrants italiens, va tout compliquer. Pour sa part, il rêve de devenir un romancier célèbre et d'épouser une superbe blonde...Elle, mexicaine, et lui, américain, voient leurs communautés prêtes à s'affronter pendant qu'ils se heurtent, combattant leur époque, la ville et leurs propres limites, à la poursuite de leur destin...
