La Kermesse de l'Ouest (1969)
Après lui avoir sauvé la vie, Ben Rumson, un chercheur d'or, s'associe avec le jeune Pardner. Les deux hommes s'installent à No Name City, en Californie et sont déterminés à faire fortune par tous les moyens. Lors d'une vente aux enchères, Ben «achète» Elizabeth, l'une des deux épouses d'un mormon, ce qui ne l'empêche pas de se mettre en quête de prostituées, en compagnie d'autres mineurs. Pardner, quant à lui, préfère rester auprès d'Elizabeth. La cohabitation entre les trois compères va cahin-caha, jusqu'au jour où Elizabeth décide d'héberger une famille respectable, les Fenty. Ben se charge d'emblée de «l'éducation» du jeune homme nouvellement arrivé...
