Capturing the Friedmans (2003)
Au premier abord, les Friedman sont une famille tout ce qu’il y a de plus classique. Arnold Friedman est un enseignant reconnu, sa femme, Elaine, élève leurs trois fils à Great Neck, petite communauté huppée de Long Island. Thanksgiving 1987, la famille est réunie pour le dîner quand la police envahit la maison et la fouille de fond en comble. Arnold et Jesse, son fils de 18 ans, sont embarqués sous les yeux de la famille et de la presse déjà présente sur les lieux. Alors que la police poursuit son enquête, plus de 1000 chefs d’inculpation leur sont signifiés, la communauté locale s’échauffe et la famille se désintègre...
