Salomon et la reine de Saba (1959)
Salomon et son frère Adonijah viennent à peine de vaincre les Égyptiens, qu'ils sont appelés au chevet de leur père moribond, le roi David, pour recueillir ses ultimes volontés. C'est Salomon qui montera à sa suite sur le trône. Malade de dépit, Adonijah jure de se venger. Pharaon, qui ne s'est pas résigné à sa défaite, envoie sa fidèle alliée, la reine de Saba, en visite chez le nouveau roi des Hébreux. La belle et redoutable souveraine a pour mission de séduire son hôte et de le détourner des affaires militaires. Mais, tout en déployant ses charmes, elle s'éprend de l'homme qu'elle voulait perdre, cependant que celui-ci résiste difficilement à tant d'éblouissante beauté…
