Aussi profond que l'océan (1999)
Le pire cauchemar de tout parent devient réalité lorsque le fils de trois ans de Beth Cappadora et de son mari Pat disparait au beau milieu du hall d'un hôtel. Neuf ans plus tard, grâce aux efforts d'un policier tenace, Candy Bliss, la famille est enfin réunie. Mais la joie des parents se transforme vite en torture émotionnelle lorsqu'ils se rendent compte que l'adolescent, Vincent, est un jeune homme adopté heureux, sans aucun souvenir de ses parents biologiques. Guère plus que des inconnus, les Cappadora doivent faire face à la réalité et au fait qu'arracher un adolescent de sa famille adoptive et du seul foyer qu'il ait jamais connu ne soit peut-être pas dans son intérêt.
