Tout au long des années 50, Tab Hunter est l’acteur numéro 1 au box-office. Sex symbol, il se partage le marché des cœurs tendres avec James Dean. James joue les rebelles tandis que Tab joue les anges blonds. Son physique séduit aussi bien les gamines que les mamans qui le sacrent gendre idéal. Pourtant Tab Hunter est gay.
