La méchante reine Gnorga fait disparaître toute végétation au pays des Lutins. Mais Stanley a sauvé son jardin et il le cultive avec amour. Gnora découvrant ce jardin secret l'envoie à New York. Mais son amour pour les plantes est trop fort et le petit Lutin retrouve Central Park où il se fait des amis : Gus et sa petite sœur Rosie. Gnorga, apprenant la victoire de Stanley, se rend à New York pour le détruire…
