John Price, dit Jonathan Pryce, est un acteur britannique, né le 1ᵉʳ juin 1947 dans le Flintshire. Diplômé de la Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, il est actif au théâtre et au cinéma. Rendu célèbre grâce à son rôle de Sam Lowry dans Brazil de Terry Gilliam (1985), il incarne le magnat milliardaire Elliot Carver dans Demain ne meurt jamais (1997), méchant opposé à James Bond, puis Weatherby Swann, gouverneur de Port Royal, dans les trois premiers films de la saga Pirates des Caraïbes. En 2019, son interprétation du cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio, plus tard le pape François, dans Les Deux Papes de Fernando Meirelles, lui vaut une nomination dans la catégorie de l'Oscar du meilleur acteur lors de la 92e cérémonie des Oscars. Il est fait commandeur de l'ordre de l'Empire britannique par la reine Élisabeth II en 2009, pour services aux arts dramatiques.
