L'Engrenage fatal (1947)
Des bandits décident un jour de braquer une salle de paris clandestin. Malheureusement pour eux, la police s'en mêle et l'un des leurs est tué… Un homme faisant figure de coupable idéal est arrêté mais l'inspecteur en charge de l'enquête ne croit pas en sa culpabilité. Il va alors poursuivre ses investigations…
