Le Nouveau monde (2007)
Quand Sarah Cain, célèbre chroniqueuse d'un quotidien américain important, se rend en Pennsylvannie pour assister aux funérailles de sa soeur Amish, elle découvre avec stupeur qu'elle est devenue la tutrice légale de ses cinq neveux et nièces. Plutôt que de déménager près d'eux ou de laisser l'assistance sociale les disperser, elle choisit de les ramener avec elle vivre à Portland. Mais la société moderne incarnée par la métropole rentre en conflit avec les croyances des enfants, tous Amish. Il lui faut donc faire le choix de retourner avec eux vivre au sein de la communauté...
