La Captive (2000)
Ariane vit chez Simon dans un grand appartement parisien. Sous surveillance. Il veut tout savoir d’elle, la suit, la fait accompagner dans ses sorties, cherche à la surprendre et la soumet à un questionnement incessant. Pourtant Ariane arrive à préserver un espace de liberté tant mental que physique. Et Simon souffre et jouit et il est bien conscient que même dans les moments de rapprochements des corps, même dans les moments où il croit enfin la posséder, elle lui échappe encore et toujours plus que jamais. Mais il n’y a pas que l’attirance d’Ariane vers les femmes, ni même la différence des sexes qui rendent sa demande impossible : demande de fusion totale, d’osmose, volonté obsessionnelle de pénétrer totalement la subjectivité de l’autre, il y a tout simplement que l’autre est autre, irréductiblement autre.
