When the Lights Went Out (2012)
Les Maynard emménagent dans la maison de leur rêve mais celle-ci est habitée par une « présence ». Leur fille Sally est la première à la ressentir et en fait part à ses parents. Ils ne la prennent pas au sérieux, surtout sa mère, plus obsédée par la décoration que par les avertissements de sa fille. Rapidement, la maison devient un cauchemar pour toute la famille mais la mère, intransigeante, refuse de déménager. Ils font appel à un medium, en vain. Finalement, le prêtre du coin fait l'objet d'un chantage afin de lui faire pratiquer un exorcisme.
