Une carte du monde (1999)
La vie s'écoule paisiblement pour Alice Goodwin, infirmière scolaire à mi-temps, qui s'occupe de ses deux petites filles dans une bourgade du Wisconsin. Tout bascule le jour où l'enfant de ses voisins Dan et Theresa se noie dans un étang, alors qu'elle était sous la surveillance d'Alice. Les habitants de la ville ne cessent de l'accuser, alors que Theresa lui a déjà pardonné. Commence pour elle un voyage en enfer.
