Julianne Moore (née Julie Anne Smith ; 3 décembre 1960) est une actrice américaine et auteure de livres pour enfants. Tout au long de sa carrière, elle a été nominée pour quatre Oscars, six Golden Globes, trois BAFTA et neuf Screen Actors Guild Awards. Moore a commencé sa carrière d'actrice en 1983 dans des rôles mineurs, avant de se joindre à la distribution du feuilleton télévisé As the World Turns, pour lequel elle a remporté un Daytime Emmy Award en 1988. Elle a commencé à apparaître dans des rôles de soutien dans des films au début des années 1990, dans des films tels que The Hand That Rocks the Cradle et The Fugitive. Sa performance dans Short Cuts (1993) lui a valu, ainsi qu'aux autres membres de la distribution, un Golden Globe pour leur performance d'ensemble, et sa performance dans Boogie Nights (1997) lui a valu une grande attention et des nominations pour plusieurs grands prix d'interprétation.
