Libres comme le vent (1999)
Mary Joe Walker s'est mariée tres jeune. Depuis elle a connu moult aventures, dont plusieurs mariages. A chaque fois que cela va mal avec un homme, elle préfère s'enfuir avec sa fille Ava plutot que de s'interroger sur le choix de ses concubins. Après une nouvelle rupture, elles arrivent dans une petite ville proche de San Diego. Ava se fait des copines d'école, Mary Joe trouve un travail et tombe amoureuse d'un routier. Voulant à nouveau s'enfuir, Mary Joe se rend compte que cette fois, Ava ne la suivra pas.
