A Call to Spy (2020)
Inspiré par des faits réels, ce film est le récit des sacrifices personnels de femmes courageuses qui ont risqué leur vie pour lutter pour la liberté pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Au début de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, les Britanniques sont sous pression , Churchill ordonne à sa nouvelle agence d’espionnage - le SOE (Special Operations Executive) – de recruter et former des femmes espionnes. Leur mission redoutable consiste à mener des sabotages et à rassembler un groupe de résistants. Vera Atkins, à la tête du SOE, recrute deux candidates inhabituelles : Virginia Hall, une Américaine ambitieuse avec une jambe de bois, et Noor Inayat Khan, une musulmane pacifiste. Ensemble, ces femmes contribuent à saper le régime nazi en France, laissant dans leur sillage un héritage indéniable.
