The Last Shift (2020)
Une histoire américaine dans laquelle deux hommes d'une même ville, avec des réalités différentes, vivent une période difficile. Stanley, un employé vieillissant d'une chaîne de restauration rapide, envisage de prendre sa retraite après 38 ans de travail de nuit chez. Lors de son dernier week-end, il doit entrainer son remplaçant, Jevon, un auteur talentueux en latence dont les propos incendiaires lui attirent constamment des ennuis. Ces deux hommes avec peu de points en commun sont réunis par le hasard. Stanley, le décrocheur qui a regardé sa vie défiler de sa fenêtre de commande à l'auto, explique fièrement les subtilités du travail, tandis que Jevon, l'activiste trop intelligent pour l'emploi, prétend qu'ils se font exploiter. Puis au fil des longues nuits passées ensemble dans cette cuisine paisible, une franche camaraderie voit le jour.
