Complot meurtrier contre une pom-pom girl (1993)
Dans une bourgade texane. Mère de famille et fervente chrétienne, Wanda Holloway tient absolument à ce que sa fille Shane intègre la troupe des pom-pom girls de son école. Or, une autre demoiselle est choisie à sa place. Folle de rage et de dépit, Wanda n'hésite pas un instant. Elle décide de supprimer l'heureuse élue et même sa mère, Verna Heath. Pour parvenir à ses fins, elle fait appel à Terry Harper, son ex-beau-frère, qui a eu autrefois des démêlés avec la justice. Affolé par ses projets, Terry décide d'alerter la police, à qui il propose son aide pour piéger Wanda. Immédiatement arrêtée, l'apprentie criminelle devient la cible des médias.
