Des portraits d'hommes victimes de différentes violences pour dénoncer la brutalité des sociétés occidentales du vingtième siècle. Chacun raconte par bribes la dureté de sa condition. Ils sont d'âges divers, de nationalités variées mais tous ont vécu la même histoire, celle de l'oppression.
