L'Homme aux lunettes d'écaille (1948)
Riche héritière new-yorkaise, Alison Courtland se réveille, affolée, dans le train pour Boston. Elle a un pistolet dans son sac et ne se souvient de rien. Grace, une vieille dame disant s'appeler Clarabelle Tomlinson, tente de la rassurer. En fait, elle agit sur les ordres de Charles Vernay, un mystérieux homme aux lunettes d'écaille…
