Mandat d'arrêt (1968)
Scobie Malone, un policier australien, arrive à Londres où il doit arrêter un compatriote diplomate, Sir James Quentin, accusé du meurtre de sa première femme, disparue il y a de cela vingt-cinq ans. Ce dernier participe à une importante conférence internationale et prie Scobie d'en attendre la fin avant de l'appréhender. Le flic accepte et emménage chez Quentin. Une série d'étranges incidents commencent bientôt à le faire douter de la culpabilité de son hôte...
