Silver Wolf (1999)
Un garçon apprend à faire face à une perte personnelle en se liant d'amitié avec un animal sauvage dans ce drame pour toute la famille. Jesse est un jeune de 16 ans qui tente de reconstruire sa vie après la mort de son père, décédé en tentant de le sauver dans le désert. Jesse va vivre avec son oncle Roy, qui vit dans les montagnes escarpées de l'État de Washington. En explorant, Jesse trouve et sauve un loup qui a été grièvement blessé; Jesse se lie avec l'animal, et tandis que Roy comprend les dangers d'essayer de s'occuper d'un animal sauvage, il permet à contrecœur à Jesse de le garder. Jesse, qui aime le snowboard, apprend au loup à être son partenaire dans le skijoring, un sport dans lequel un chien est utilisé pour transporter un homme sur des skis. John Rockwell, le propriétaire d'un ranch, a des plans différents pour l'animal; il voit le loup comme une menace pour son bétail et est déterminé à faire en sorte que l'animal soit abattu.
