Dans les bras de l'enfer (1986)
Au moment où s'achèvent les pourparlers de paix, le colonel Cooper reçoit pour mission de délivrer un groupe de prisonniers retenus derrière les lignes ennemies. Le temps lui est compté car s'ils n'ont pas été libérés d'ici la fin du cessez-le-feu, ils seront officiellement considérés comme portés disparus. En pleine opération de sauvetage, le général tombe dans une embuscade tendue par les soldats ennemis, qui voient en lui un otage précieux. A la tête de la troupe vietnamienne, Vin se verrait bien utiliser Copper comme un sésame qui lui permettrait de quitter son pays pour rejoindre les Etats-Unis. Cooper accepte de coopérer mais il ignore que Vin s'est constitué une petite fortune en volant les prisonniers...
