D'après Wikipédia, l'encyclopédie libre. Paulette Goddard (3 juin 1910 – 23 avril 1990) était une actrice américaine de cinéma et de théâtre. Ancienne enfant mannequin et danseuse dans plusieurs productions de Broadway (notamment les Ziegfeld Girls), elle fut une vedette des studios Paramount dans les années 1940. Elle fut mariée à plusieurs hommes célèbres, dont Charlie Chaplin, Burgess Meredith et Erich Maria Remarque. Goddard fut nommée à l'Oscar de la meilleure actrice dans un second rôle pour sa performance dans « So Proudly We Hail!» (1943).
