Catherine Zeta-Jones, CBE, (née le 25 septembre 1969) est une actrice galloise. Elle a commencé sa carrière sur scène dès son plus jeune âge. Après avoir joué dans plusieurs téléfilms britanniques et américains et tenu des petits rôles au cinéma, elle s'est fait connaître grâce à des rôles dans des films hollywoodiens tels que le film d'action Le Masque de Zorro en 1998 et le thriller policier Entrapment en 1999. Elle s'est véritablement révélée dans le film Traffic en 2000, qui lui a valu sa première nomination aux Golden Globe Awards dans la catégorie Meilleure actrice dans un second rôle. Zeta-Jones a ensuite incarné Velma Kelly dans l'adaptation cinématographique de la comédie musicale Chicago en 2002, un succès critique et commercial, et a reçu un Oscar, un BAFTA Award, un Screen Actors Guild Award et a été nominée pour le Golden Globe Award de la meilleure actrice dans un film musical ou une comédie. Plus tard, elle a joué dans la comédie romantique Intolerable Cruelty en 2003 et dans la comédie policière Ocean's Twelve en 2004. Zeta-Jones a décroché le rôle principal féminin dans la suite du film de 1998, La Légende de Zorro, sortie en 2005. Elle a également joué dans le thriller romantique biographique Death Defying Acts en 2008. En 2010, elle a remporté le Tony Award de la meilleure actrice dans une comédie musicale pour son interprétation de Desiree dans A Little Night Music.
