Judith Kaufmann, née à Stuttgart le 20 septembre 1962, est une photographe et directeur de la photographie, scénariste et réalisatrice allemande. Fille de l'actrice Liselotte Rau, Judith Kaufmann naît à Stuttgart, mais grandit à Berlin. Après le lycée, elle apprend la photographie à l'École d'État d'optique et de photographie à Berlin. Elle travaille comme assistant à la caméra, entre autres pour Konrad Kotowski, Thomas Mauch, Gernot Roll et Raoul Coutard. En 1982, elle s'oriente vers la direction du travail de la caméra et devient en 1991 directeur de la photographie.
