Kyle MacLachlan, né le 22 février 1959 à Yakima dans l'État de Washington, est un acteur américain. Formé à l'Université de Washington, il débute au cinéma avec *Dune* (1984) de David Lynch, dans le rôle de Paul Atréides. Il devient l'un des acteurs fétiches du réalisateur, incarnant Jeffrey Beaumont dans *Blue Velvet* (1986) et surtout l'agent spécial Dale Cooper dans la série culte *Twin Peaks* (1990-1991), rôle qui lui vaut un Golden Globe du meilleur acteur en série dramatique et deux nominations aux Emmy Awards. Il reprend ce personnage dans le film *Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me* (1992) et la revival *Twin Peaks: The Return* (2017). Au cinéma, il apparaît dans *The Doors* (1991), *Les Pierrafeu* (1994), *Showgirls* (1995) et prête sa voix au père de Riley dans *Vice-Versa* (2015) et sa suite (2024). À la télévision, il marque les esprits avec Trey MacDougal dans *Sex and the City* (2000-2002), Orson Hodge dans *Desperate Housewives* (2006-2012) et le maire de Portland dans *Portlandia* (2011-2018). En 2024-2025, il accède à une nouvelle popularité avec le rôle de Hank MacLean, Overseer de Vault 33, dans la série post-apocalyptique *Fallout* sur Prime Video, acclamée par la critique et renouvelée pour une troisième saison.
