Anthony Dawson est un acteur britannique né le 18 octobre 1916 à Édimbourg (Écosse) et mort le 8 janvier 1992 dans le Sussex (Angleterre). Acteur-fétiche du réalisateur Terence Young, il a entre autres interprété le professeur Dent dans le premier film de la saga James Bond, James Bond 007 contre Dr No en 1962. Il joue également - sans que son visage soit jamais montré à l'écran - le rôle d'Ernst Stavro Blofeld dans Bons Baisers de Russie en 1963 et Opération Tonnerre en 1965. Habitué des personnages secondaires de méchants, il tient l'un de ses rôles les plus connus dans Le Crime était presque parfait où il est l'homme chargé d'assassiner l'héroïne interprétée par Grace Kelly.
