Two Lovers (2008)
Brighton Beach, Brooklyn. Leonard, un uomo attraente e dal carattere complesso, torna alla casa natale dopo aver tentato il suicidio. Mentre si trova sotto lo stesso tetto degli accoglienti genitori, i quali lo aiutano con amore ma faticano a comprenderlo, Leonard conosce due donne in breve tempo. Una è Michelle, una vicina di casa tanto bella quanto misteriosa, la quale cela a sua volta problemi profondi. Ma i genitori cercano di spingere Leonard ad avere una relazione con Sandra, la figlia dell'acquirente della tintoria di famiglia. Inizialmente sulla difensiva, Leonard scopre in lei una profondità inattesa. Ma la possibile relazione con Sandra finisce per essere ostacolata da Michelle che gli chiede aiuto per risolvere una relazione con un altro uomo. Ora così Michelle sembra essere attratta da Leonard il quale si trova tra due fuochi con il non improbabile rischio di riprecipitare in quello stato d'animo che lo aveva portato a tentare di togliersi la vita.
