Chicago. Lo spietato pluriomicida Charles Lee Ray, braccato e mortalmente ferito dal poliziotto Mike Norris, si rifugia in un negozio di giocattoli e muore su una pila di popolari bambolotti “Good Guy” pronunciando un rituale magico che gli consente di trasferire la sua anima in uno di essi. Di mattina presto, Andy Barclay si sveglia entusiasta per scoprire i regali per i suoi sei anni ed è deluso di non trovarvi il bambolotto che desiderava, della serie “Good Guy”.
