Omen III - Conflitto finale (1981)
Damien Thorn (Sam Neill), l’Anticristo, ha proseguito nella sua carriera, diventando ambasciatore americano a Londra e puntando a successi ancora più importanti (è anche a capo di una potente multinazionale). Per il momento, poiché ritiene che stia per nascere un nuovo Redentore, Damien si dedica a progettare una nuova strage degli innocenti in modo di stroncarne la possibilità. Ma non ha fatto i conti con sette monaci italiani (capitanati da Rossano Brazzi), che si mettono in viaggio per contrastare il Male. Seguito de La maledizione di Damien, ha il pregio di proseguire la storia dell’Anticristo e il difetto di non trovare un modo avvincente per farlo. Fiacco, fiacchissimo. Sam Neill si dà da fare per rendere malignamente attraente il suo Damien, ma il contesto in cui si muove è risaputo e pieno del vetusto armamentario dell’horror “religioso”.
