Il tredicesimo piano (1999)
Anni '30. A causa di un'amara scoperta Hannon Fuller sa che la sua vita d'ora in poi sarà in grave pericolo. Per questo motivo scrive una lettera a Douglas Hall, suo fedele amico, nella quale gli spiega tutta la verità. Torna a casa si mette a letto e si ritrova in un altro mondo, nel mondo reale. Qui tenta nuovamente di mettersi in contatto con Hall, ma viene massacrato prima di riuscirci. Douglas Hall viene svegliato dalla polizia e invitato a fare il riconoscimento del corpo, da questo punto tanti punti interrogativi costelleranno la sua vita. Tra questi la comparsa della misteriosa figlia di Fuller, di cui lui non aveva mai sentito parlare.
