Dear Wendy (2005)
Dick prese la pistola, in un giorno uguale a tutti i giorni di Estherslope, una piccola provincia mineraria posta da qualche parte nell'America posticcia di Vinterberg. Il regista di Festen che con una "rivelazione" rovinò il pranzo di una ricca famiglia borghese, con il suo ultimo lungometraggio rivela il pacifismo armato del mondo occidentale. Ma non è in questo, o almeno non è solo in questo, che si risolve il film. La Wendy "cara" del titolo è la magnifica ossessione di Dick, un adolescente introverso che vive con una tata di colore e un padre minatore. Alla sua morte in miniera, scampato caparbiamente allo stesso destino, Dick compra una pistola "giocattolo" da regalare a un insopportabile moccioso.
