Mystic Pizza (1988)
Tre ragazze tra piccole e grandi manovre del cuore in un film sentimentale.Tre simpatiche ragazze, immigrate di origine portoghese, danno una mano nella pizzeria di Leona, che le considera come figlie, nella cittadina americana di Mystic, Connecticut. È qui che si intrecciano amori e delusioni, entusiasmi e disperazioni, nell'infinito gioco della vita. Probabilmente quando ci si lamenta che il cinema italiano ha perso il tipico "prodotto medio" si pensa proprio a un film come questo: ben girato, curato nella messa in scena e nei dialoghi, intelligente senza essere pedante, sentimentale senza essere lacrimoso, dignitoso insomma anche nel suo finale forse troppo lieto. Tra le interpreti Julia Roberts.
