Scott Weston è un investigatore privato specializzato in cause di divorzio. Tra un pedinamento e l'altro trova pure il tempo per intrecciare relazioni con donne sposate. Il suo "hobby" lo porta, un bel giorno, a fare la conoscenza di Anne Scholes, una fascinosa nonché giovane signora coniugata a un anziano danaroso. Ne segue una focosa relazione che coinvolgerà Scott nell'eliminazione del consorte.
