Virginia Gayle Madsen (nata l'11 settembre 1961) è un'attrice e produttrice cinematografica statunitense. Ha debuttato al cinema in Class (1983), girato nella sua città natale Chicago. Dopo essersi trasferita a Los Angeles, il regista David Lynch la scelse per il ruolo della principessa Irulan nel film di fantascienza Dune (1984). Madsen recitò poi in una serie di film adolescenziali di successo, tra cui Electric Dreams (1984), Modern Girls (1986) e Fire with Fire (1986). Madsen ricevette ulteriore riconoscimento per il suo ruolo da protagonista come Helen Lyle nel film horror Candyman (1992).
