Slamdance - Il delitto di mezzanotte (1987)
Drood, un disegnatore di fumetti di Los Angeles, viene accusato dell'omicidio di Iolanda, la ragazza con cui ha una storia da quando s'è separato dalla moglie. Perseguitato dalla polizia, Drood scopre che Iolanda era coinvolta in un giro di prostituzione ed è stata uccisa per ordine del boss, una ricca e intoccabile signora. Altri omicidi si susseguono e la situazione per Drood diventa pesante. Wang aveva esordito nell'85 con Dim Sum, una detective story sui generis ambientata nella comunità cinese di San Francisco. Qui il gioco si fa invece un po' scoperto e compiaciuto, anche se condotto con brio per buona parte del film.
