Al di là dell'orrore (1959)
Il professor Abel ha inventato il "siero Z" che può mantenere in vita organi di animali morti collegandoli ad una macchina avveniristica. Sofferente di crisi cardiache, l'uomo ordina al dottor Ood di trapiantare il suo cuore in caso di un attacco mortale e quando il temuto evento si verifica, l'assistente segue scrupolosamente le indicazioni del maestro, ma con intenti "leggermente" diversi: di Abel sopravvivono, infatti, soltanto il cervello e la testa amputata. Reso folle dall'ebbrezza del successo e sapendo di poter costringere quanto resta di Abel (...la parte più geniale) a collaborare, il dottore continua altri spaventosi esperimenti che culminano nel trapianto della testa di Irene - infermiera dal viso bellissimo ma dal corpo sgraziato - sulle membra perfette di Lilly, splendida spogliarellista. Come è prevedibile, le sparizioni delle ragazze insospettiranno ben presto la polizia che non tarderà a ricollegarle al laboratorio del dottor Ood.
