L'uomo dalla scure (1932)
L'uomo del titolo è il killer di una banda di gangster cinesi, che contende a un altro clan il dominio della Chinatown di San Francisco. Gli ordinano di uccidere un suo vecchio amico, capo dell'altra banda, e lui lo fa. Poi però si prende cura dell'orfanella. Definizione di un critico dell'epoca: "Un pastiche di Scarface e di Madama Butterfly ".
