The Wrestler (2008)
Randy "The Ram" Robinson era un wrestler professionista di rinomata fama alla fine degli anni 80'. Vent'anni dopo tira avanti esibendosi per i fans del duro wrestling nelle palestre dei licei e nelle comunità del New Jersey. Allontanatosi dalla figlia, incapace di sostenere un vero rapporto, Randy vive per il brivido dello show, per l'adrenalina del combattimento e per l'adorazione dei fans che gli rimangono. Colto da un infarto durante un combattimento, il dottore gli dice di eliminare gli steroidi e di sospendere i combattimenti di wrestling. Costretto a lasciare lo show-business, Randy comincia a riflettere sulla sua vita. Prova a riallacciare i rapporti con sua figlia e inizia una relazione con una spogliarellista ormai non più giovanissima.
