Il colore del sangue (1997)
Nel 1932 negli Stati Uniti per combattere la piaga della sifilide il Governo finanza un programma medico per la cura della popolazione di colore. In realtà il progetto si propone di lasciare che la malattia segua il suo corso per studiarne gli effetti e per scoprire se la gente di colore ha sintomi diversi dai bianchi. Questi tremendi esperimenti, che rispecchiavano il razzismo imperantre nel paese, continuarono fino al 1972, quando la verità sul progetto fu divulgata. Ma la notizia più scioccante fu scoprire che gli studi furono diretti da un medico di colore, il dottor Brodus, e dalla sua assistente, l'infermiera Evers, l'unica che provò compassione e pietà per quegli uomini trattati come cavie.
