Le stagioni del cuore (1984)
Nel 1935, quando lo sceriffo Royce Spalding viene ucciso in servizio, la sua giovane moglie, Edna (Field), si trova improvvisamente nella necessità di provvedere a se stessa e a una vasta proprietà su cui gravano ancora dei debiti. Da ex casalinga superprotetta Edna si trasforma così in una donna matura e volitiva attraverso il lavoro, le lotte contro le avversità e la costruzione di intensi rapporti umani.
