Biografia:

Un attore, produttore, regista e stilista americano. Negli ultimi 30 anni della sua carriera, Malkovich è apparso in più di 70 film. Per i suoi ruoli in Luoghi del cuore e Nella linea del fuoco, ha ricevuto nomination all'Oscar. È anche apparso in film ben accolti come Empire of the Sun, The Killing Fields, Dangerous Liaisons, Of Mice and Men, Being John Malkovich, Burn After Reading, RED e Warm Bodies, oltre a produrre numerosi film, tra cui Giunone e i vantaggi di essere una tappezzeria. Malkovich ha frequentato esclusivamente le scuole dell'Illinois durante la sua infanzia e fino all'età adulta, costruendo una comunità di artisti che la pensano allo stesso modo come Joan Allen, Gary Sinise e Glenne Headly, i quali hanno tutti co-fondato la Steppenwolf Theatre Company nel 1976. Dopo essere apparso in numerose produzioni teatrali , Malkovich ha iniziato a recitare in film alla fine degli anni '70, ottenendo il plauso della critica per i suoi numerosi ruoli drammatici e comici in film come Le relazioni pericolose, Uomini e topi, Essere John Malkovich e Burn After Reading. In linea con la sua immagine di uomo rinascimentale, ha creato la sua azienda di moda, Mrs. Mudd, nel 2002. Malkovich continua a recitare, dirigere e produrre numerosi film ogni anno ed è considerata una delle voci più influenti del cinema moderno.
