Gli angeli con la faccia sporca (1938)
Il noto criminale Rocky Sullivan torna a visitare il suo quartiere d'origine. Qui incontra un suo vecchio amico d'infanzia ora diventato Padre Connely che gli rimprovera la sua cattiva influenza sui ragazzi di strada che lo idolatrano. Ma dopo una sparatoria con il suo eterno avversario finge di aver paura della morte, affinché i giovani di strada che lo hanno preso ad esempio si ricredano sulla sua immagine di duro tutto d'un pezzo.
