Maps to the Stars (2014)
La famiglia Weiss si sta facendo strada nella assolata California del sud, tra soldi, sogni, fama, invidie, desiderio ed implacabili fantasmi. Sanford Weiss è un famoso terapista televisivo con una lunga lista di clienti molto famosi, sua moglie Cristina Weiss si occupa della carriera del figlio 13enne, star della televisione. La coppia ha un’altra figlia, Agatha: a insaputa di tutti è appena tornata in città, misteriosamente sfregiata. Agatha stringe amicizia con un autista di limousine e diventa l’assistente personale di Havana Segrand, un’attrice ossessionata nel voler interpretare il ruolo che fu della madre nel remake di un grande film del passato. Il fantasma della madre, morta in un incendio, continua a turbare la sua vita. Agatha è alla ricerca di redenzione e anche in questo regno dell’artificiale, dell’ultraterreno e della finzione, è determinata a trovarla. A qualunque costo.
