I giorni del cielo (1978)
Siamo negli Stati Uniti, agli inizi del secolo. Bill, un bravo giovanotto, emigra da Chicago nel Midwest. Con lui viaggiano la sua fidanzata Abby con la sorellina. Trovato un impiego presso il ricco Chuck, Bill convince Abby a sposarlo per assicurare una vita agiata a tutti e tre, ma ben presto un'ingistificata gelosia rovina il rapporto tra i due sposi e la vita coniugale diventa un inferno.
