Richard Tiffany Gere (nato il 31 agosto 1949) è un attore e produttore americano. Ha iniziato nel cinema negli anni '70, interpretando un ruolo di supporto in Looking for Mr. Goodbar (1977) e un ruolo da protagonista in Days of Heaven (1978). È diventato noto con il suo ruolo nel film American Gigolo (1980), che lo ha consacrato come protagonista e simbolo sessuale. Ha poi recitato in molti film molto apprezzati, tra cui An Officer and a Gentleman (1982), The Cotton Club (1984), Pretty Woman (1990), Sommersby (1993), Primal Fear (1996), Runaway Bride (1999), I'm Not There (2007), Arbitrage (2012) e Norman: The Moderate Rise and Tragic Fall of a New York Fixer (2016).
